Dining Room Before/After!

We started this project in April and am happy to say, it's finally done!  Click here and here for other updates during the process.

Dining Room after:

Gee, this is really fun.  NOT!

Saw this awesome Ballard mirror out this fun blog

and knew when I saw this one at my local Homegoods, that it would well in this space. It is really heavy & says on the back 'installed by professional only'. Haha, enter the handy husband.

Note no rug!!

Just a little blurry!

The end!  Stop by later this week for my CSN giveaway!

  5. Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog. I love the mirror and your lighting is gorgeous!

BTW, I'm from Ohio myself and two of my brothers live in Cincinnati. It's a great city.

  7. I'm really liking what you have done here. I am gearing up to redo my dining room too. I also have a traditional oriental looking rug that I am just plain tired of. I thought that because it was a classic it would never go out of style. Maybe it hasn't but I'm over it. Do you plan to eventually replace your rug or how do you feel going sans rug?
I like the lighter wall color and that mirror really was a true score. Nicely done.

  8. I am planning on doing some 'persian rug' research to come up with the right price but would like to sell it. I'd take more (clearer) pics of the room but the rug is back down until I sell it. I'd like to get a new rug that has more of a contemporary feel. That rug has been down for 20 years so I think I'm due. Good luck!

  12. Beautiful! I am preparing (physically, mentally, emotionally - lol) to do the same... paint all the woodwork. A HUGE undertaking for sure, but well worth it. Yours is absolutely beautiful!

  13. Hey there! It's looking great and I think the Frontgate Greek key rug would be a good choice. The black would provide a lot of contrast, which I always like.

  15. Thanks for the nice comment. I painted it using Valspar paint/primer in Granite Dust and only 1 coat. I got it at Lowe's... K
